In December, Claudemir Ribeiro (FM Approvals, South America Business Development Engineer) and Fernando Pontes Aaraújo (FM Global, Flood Specialist) gave a talk as part of the State of São Paulo's rollout of the Preventive Plan for Civil Defense (PPDC). The talk highlighted FM Approved solutions for flood mitigation and best practices for identifying, assessing, and mitigating flood risks.
This event was held at the Palácio dos Bandeirantes with the opening performed by the current Governor of the State of São Paulo, Rodrigo Garcia. The audience was comprised of more than 30 mayors and 150 civil defense representatives spanning the municipalities of São Paulo.
"It was a first of its kind opportunity to increase the awareness of public institutions and society about the FM Approved flood mitigation solutions already available on the market and share our valuable loss prevention expertise with such a respected and influential institution like the Civil Defense of the State of São Paulo, Brazil," says Claudemir Ribeiro.
