Hazard Involved: Units containing the PLICSCOM display module are capable of producing an internal voltage which exceeds the allowable limits for intrinsic safety for gas groups AB / IIC; thereby becoming a potential ignition source. This is only a concern for units used in gas groups AB or IIC. VEGA is addressing the safety concern by supplying modified PLICSCOM display modules. Customers in North America who may be in possession of these units where they are used in gas groups AB / IIC have been notified and will be provided replacement PLICSCOM display modules.
