FM Approvals has been made aware of a firmware defect that affects the performance of certain Gamewell-FCI brand fire alarm control panel products.

ILI-MB-E3 and ILI-S-E3 boards manufactured between May 15, 2015 and August 06, 2015 (date codes described in the attached bulletin) that use version 4.0-114 firmware, together with certain detectors on the same Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) loop may not transmit alarm signals in the event of a fire. The loop device combinations at risk are described in the attached bulletin. It is conservatively estimated that there are about 1,000 installed systems that are potentially affected by this firmware defect.
