Cleanroom Material

In some occupancies, the need to have hard-to-ignite materials and/or materials that produce very little smoke in the event of a fire is critical. FM Approved cleanroom materials may provide just such an option.

These FM Approved materials are used in cleanroom occupancies around the world, typically in the semiconductor industry. The FM Approved materials have been evaluated for fire ignition and propagation behavior as well as smoke generation. Based on the robust testing by FM Approvals, the correct usage of these FM Approved materials, would not, in and of themselves, generally require additional fire protection.
